About us

An embracing and elegant space, in the heart of Bristol’s Old City, the Radnor Rooms provides a fresh take on events.

History

The building, once known as The Radnor Hotel, was infamous for its accepting and thriving gay community, as the premises operated as a pub with rooms, possibly as far back as the 1920’s. Having fallen into disrepair in more recent times, this Grade 2 listed building has been sympathetically restored and adapted for modern day requirements by the Wolff family who see it as a mecca for creatives, business people, friends and family.

The family

Having run Mr Wolf’s and No.51 for a number of years with his children, Adam and Stephanie, Mark Wolff bought the former stock exchange and the premises next door in a derelict state, and has sympathetically restored them to give us The Radnor Rooms. With Wild Wolf’s Yoga above, run by his other daughter Jess, the family are very much hands on and also run White’s Botanicals, which provide our lovely food.

Our space

Hired as a whole, the space lends itself to a variety of modern events from seminars, workshops, conferences, photoshoots, parties and weddings. With a capacity for 75, we offer a reception room, main room, and beautiful urban terrace. The Reception Room welcomes you in neo-classical style; contemporary practicalities allowing for the smooth running of your event. The main room is an open white space, with hand-crafted cornicing, chandeliers, bare brick walls and plenty of natural light flooding in from large sash windows. A wooden balustrade staircase leads to the urban terrace, a hidden gem of outdoor space. Its special built in seating is nestled in between tall plants, an original stained glass window and working Victorian fireplace. A dramatic bare brick chimney leads the eye to the open sky above. And our living wall bar offers a wide variety of drinks to enjoy as you mingle in the fresh air.

Weddings

We are fully licensed for civil ceremonies, but only a two minute walk from The Registry office on Corn Street if you prefer to use us as your reception venue. Being so centrally located means that we have excellent proximity to Temple Meads train station, the bus and coach station and Bristol airport. Whilst we don’t have accommodation or parking on offer we can advise where to stay locally and where the cheapest NCP carparks are!

Extra touches

With a caring attitude, we want to give added value to all elements of your bespoke event, leaving you inspired and restored. Our in-house caterers Whites Botanicals, offer an amazing array of menus to suit every function, with their emphasis on fresh, wholesome food. With tailored supplementary offers, and the brilliant karma and expertise of Wild Wolf’s Yoga in the same building, we can offer relaxation techniques, meditation, and yoga as a healthy break in your productive day.

Catering

In-house catering is provided by White’s Botanicals in the Stock Exchange, headed by chef Jake. Together we can create a menu that’s tailored to your event whether it’s a cream tea, working lunch or a three course wedding breakfast.
